New committee for PCP Khagrachari District Unit formed

A 17-member committee for the Khagrachari District Unit of the Hill Students’ Council was formed at the end of a 2-day conference on 11 and 12 September.

Held at Rega Club in Milonpur of Khagrachari town, the ninth PCP Khagrachari District conference was presided over by Ratan Chakma.

A 14-member subject committee, formed as per the provision of the PCP constitution, elected Ratan Chakma as President, Apruchi Marma as General Secretary and Umesh Chakma as Organising Secretary.

Later, the delegates unanimously approved of their election and of other members of the committee.

PCP central committee president Ricoh Chakma inaugurated the conference session as chief guest.

The closing session of the conference was addressed by Kalo Priya Chakma, organiser, UPDF Khagrachari District Unit and DYF leader Mithun Chakma, while Arpan Chakma conducted.
